NOLA BLISS MASSAGE

COVID-19 PROCEDURES

The safety of our clients and therapists is our top priority. We are committed to meeting the highest sanitation and hygiene standards in our industry. Masks are not required or mandated for clients. Massage establishments are not under the City of New Orleans vaccine/testing mandate so you do not need to show your vaccine card or a negative test.

What to expect Before, During and After your Massage:

  • INTAKE AND CONSENT FORM:

We will ask everyone to fill out an intake form via email and sign an informed consent form that states, “I understand that close contact with people increases the risk of infection from COVID-19. By signing this form, I acknowledge that I am aware of the risks involved and give consent to receive massage from this practitioner.”
  • CANCELLATION POLICY:

We are suspending our regular cancellation policy so that if you feel ill or show symptoms on the day of your session, there will be no penalty for canceling your appointment. Please call as soon as you can to cancel. We reserve the right to refuse treatment to any client who, in our sole opinion, demonstrates known symptoms of Covid-19. If your scheduled therapist develops any symptoms on the day of your appointment we will do our best to provide an alternative therapist.
  • FACE MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR GUESTS:

Face masks are not required for clients. They are worn by therapists upon request. We respect each person's decision to wear a mask or not and happily comply with requests by clients for their therapist to wear a mask (this also can be mentioned in the room).
  • ARRIVING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Please do not enter the building more than 10 minutes before the time of your appointment. Upon entering the building, please wash your hands before taking the elevator to the 3rd floor. We also ask that you arrive promptly for your appointment, as our new sanitation protocols will not allow us to go over your allotted time. Unfortunately, you may not bring any non-client companions with you to the studio at this time.
  • TEMPERATURE SCREENING:

Your therapist will use a no touch thermal temperature screening to confirm that you don’t have a fever.
  • HAND SANITIZER:

You will find hand sanitizer in every room to use after your massage and as needed.
  • AFTER YOUR MASSAGE:

Once your massage has finished and you have dressed, we ask that you remain in the treatment room so that your therapist can take payment there. You will have an opportunity to use the restroom again as you are escorted to the elevator.
  • POST-MASSAGE COMMUNICATION:

If you develop any symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 in the days following your massage, we ask that you inform us.

What to know about our COVID 19 Sanitation and Hygiene Procedures:

We follow Practice Guidelines recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the State of Louisiana.

  • DISINFECTANT DETAILS:

We use Rejuvenate disinfectant products that utilize an Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide technology, the solutions are biodegradable and nonirritating– and have been tested to be effective against COVID-19.
  • INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL TRAINING:

Everyone on the NOLA Bliss team has training and certification in Infection Prevention and Disease Control from Rejuvenate.
  • MASSAGE ROOM DISINFECTION

Between each session therapists will be disinfecting the massage table and all high-touched surfaces with an EPA registered hospital grade disinfectant.
  • OSHA STANDARD LINENS:

All of our linens are laundered offsite and meet OSHA standards for medical linens.
  • MEDICAL GRADE AIR FILTERS IN EACH ROOM:

We have medical-grade air filters in each treatment room. HEPA H13 filters remove 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 microns and filters the entire room air every 15 minutes.
  • HAND WASHING/SANITIZING PROTOCOLS:

Therapists follow CDC hand washing practices before and after each massage, and everyone who enters the building washes their hands at our ground floor washing station.
